Nothing ever works out the way it's supposed to...

I've been out of work going on 12 weeks now. It's starting to hurt. The kids still need things, we still need to eat, but there's no money coming in. We're into our savings now and that won't last that long.

So I had several interviews last week and the week before. They told me it would be two weeeks before they got back to me.

Well, one got back to me.

It's a great offer, good npay and up to a 20% bonus. But...it's in Cleveland. So I would have to get an apartment and live away from the family for five nights a week. As bad as that is, I wouldn't be able to practice, so I'd probably have to quit the band.

I've called the other companies and explained my situation. They said they'd get back to me as soon as they could. I can put this offer off for maybe two days.

So, on one hand, I got ajob and yay! But on the other, it requires a great deal of sacrifice. Boo.

Just ranting. Carry on.
 
That really sucks man. I hope one of the other companies gets back to you with something local that's just as good!

Man, thats rough. Renting an apartment sorta eats into the good pay too. Although apartments probably arent 850 a month like they are here. :embarrassed:

Well, at least it would be work to get you by for the time being.

If the job is good and pays well why wouldn't you just relocate the whole family to Cleveland?
 
Major mojo out your way. I hope this prompts one of the local companies to cowboy up with an offer quick...
 
That sucks. Didn't you do the away from the family thing for a year or two while you were transitioning the family from Philly to Columbus?
 
Mojo brojo. Times are tough all round and sometimes you just got to bite the bullet and do what you gotta do.

that kind of sucks, but it is better than nothing. I have no idea how far Columbus is from Cleveland, so I really don't know how much that sucks.

According to Google maps it's 145 miles - so Prages is dead on. Two plus hours drive.
