Hot or Not? Opinions Needed!

I keep my Thorn strat in the padded case that my Kiesel came in... with the white lettering on the bag carefully blacked out.... as a reminder of what a wasteful, smouldering, non-returnable piece of shit purchase that guitar was, as a reminder to never get swayed by oogly-googly online photos ever again. I have almost made something playable out of that guitar after I replaced the neck, the pickups, the electronics, the bridge, and did some modifications to the body so it isn't a mahogany boat-anchor of a body.

Kiesel can build something for you if you care about how the guitar looks... if you're looking for a resonant, inspiring, musical instrument... shop elsewhere.
You shouldn't hold back so much. It's not healthy. :)

I feel the same way about Gibson.

And this is how I ended up with a PRS. :embarrassed:

Maybe we should do a "Tasteful Carvin" thread? How long do you think it would take to get to a 2nd page?

There is only 1 I know of, mine.

One of only two known pics of my Carvin. From a music school talent show. I taught the guitarist and bassist, and the drummer was a friend of theirs. Must be 2005.

Looks like the fret material is the gold EVO frets. Do they look gold to anyone else, or is it just me?

Yeah, but that could also be the lighting. According to the luthier that does the re-fretting of my guitars with EVO Gold frets, they start off gold, but after polishing, they get just as silver colored as regular frets (which surprised my luthier, the first time he did a re-fret for me). The frets on all of my guitars look silver colored, despite being EVO Gold.

As for the Keisel - nah, I'll pass on it.
