Lies!!! lol it's all about maximizing money I suppose. But cars were definitely much cooler back in the day.

IDK, those translucent & ghost flame jobs often look kinda mushy and always remind me of cheesy tarted up custom bikes
I dig the classic hot rod fade and pinstripe outline flames more (especially on older cars) but flames are one of those things that everyone has their own preference

Both types of flames look great when done correctly, but when the newer airbrush styles started showing up (20 years now?) I was really amazed at how real they looked.
