Premier Music: the final week.

Final clean out and inspection today. Waiting to find out if they can use our tenant improvements or if I have to pay to have someone demo everything and return the unit to open warehouse.

Well damn, seems like they could have told you that when you gave notice to vacate. I guess that's how it's done though.

Best wishes for your new endeavor(s). The mere fact that you're actually raising a family and staying in the music biz is really pretty big. You and my cousin in Santa Rosa are the only ones I know who are still living the dream!

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Kind of a frustrating and emotional day but one still full of great promise for the future. It's just strange having something that has been a big constant 6 days a week for twelve years suddenly be gone (even when youve been working towards this day for a while). I'm waiting for word about a few things that I might have to take care of including the demo on my TI and whatnot. I'm hoping that if I am responsible for that that my deposit covers most of it. Its been a horribly expensive couple of months winding this down and it would suck to have more to pay for when things are at the slowest point of the year for me. Tonight I have my second time teaching the classes in the rehearsal studio which was a bit of an adjustment last night and tomorrow I need to move into my new office and be ready to teach by noon. We have a little escape up to Lake Arrowhead that my inlaws invited us up to and I think it's going to be a wonderful break and a chance to get my head back together before next weeks 5 gigs in 4 days extravaganza. Plus it will be nice to practice since I've barely touched a guitar in two weeks except to teach or gig.

So my stuff I ordered like weeks ago finally showed up!!! Sheesh!!!! You would think I was ordering from China direct!

Nah, stuff showed up quickly and is going to be awesome. 'Specially my new shirt! I hope you were able to get this aspect mostly wrapped up. Best wishes and great luck on your new adventures! Looking forward to see how it all develops. :)

I still have a couple of orders that haven't been shipped yet @rhino @MonkeyZero - I still need your address

This morning I have to move into my temp office, probably run home at 11am to teach a Skype lesson for a student in London and then back to the office at noon to teach an "in person" lesson. My schedule is complete hamburger and I'm trying to keep people happy. I told my wife that tomorrow I'm ordering pizza and wings for lunch and I'm drinking a lot of beer. Or maybe just beer for lunch.

The best part of this whole week or so has been that both of my kids have had either the stomach flu or food poisoning the entire time since last Tuesday night. I think we had a day over the weekend where someone wasn't barfing or pooping uncontrollably. I was so afraid that I would get sick with it and still need to take care of the move out and my gig.

Yikes! Mebbe try to eat as well as you can and drink lemon or lime seltzers instead of too much beer. At least to get through the stomach bugs relatively unscathed.

I think my wife and I somehow escaped unscathed. Mrs Wein set up her "infectious disease" protocols with who handles what and how things are cleaned and how often. Even so I'm amazed she didn't get sick.
