Does that mean this thread will be erased? Will Marty McFly have to go back to the future to get them back on the 'net?

Publicity is not shameless...In fact it makes perfect sense...
Oh come on now...

Britney Spears going commando for the paparazzi and getting pointers from Paris Hilton wasn't shameless?

I could care less about the case in point, but there is shameless promotion.

actually they did not erase themselves from the internet. If you do a google search tons of stuff still comes up :embarrassed: :cop: and some of the stuff that comes up is Thom Y complaining about spotify, google and apple going back to 2013 or so. It looks like if nothing else he is consistent. TL/DR....it looks like he might be killing two birds with one stone, A: he is putting action behind his gripe against spotify, google, apple etc in a form of protest aginst streaming and B: he is achieving publicity for new upcoming album. Genius ?

Didn't they make a big deal about releasing their last album directly to the public directly via their website, without iTunes or any other content provider? Now they go 180 and leave the internet completely? I agree with Gary, this sounds like pure publicity stunt. I suspect their next release will magically restore their online presence in a big way.

On a side note, Radiohead is one of those bands that I've tried to like because so many folks think they're awesome. I just don't get the appeal.

It's all about bringing attention..
Get people talking,etc..
That's all all publicity is...

Given that they recently sent "we know where you live" postcards to fans in the UK, I'm guessing they're making some sort of comment about anonymity/surveillance as part of their new album rollout.

Yes, off course that was shameless. Stripping your internet presence isn't as shameless, but it still falls in my shameless category. Let your music speak for you, not artificial antics.

I just ran through a handful of tunes on YouTube, and nope.. Not my kinda thing.
I find the voice annoying. I didn't last much longer than 10 to 20 seconds after the vocals started.

I did know that they did Creep, but didn't make the connection earlier.
