RIP Fernandes

Not in the USA, but couldn't tell you the last time I saw a new Fernandes guitar. Seen a few new Burny guitars for sale recently however and hadn't realised they were part of that family. That will have an impact here in the UK I think.

Bummer. I have a Fernandes Strat and a Burny Les Paul. Both really awesome guitars. Sad to see them shut down.

Maybe they can come back by selling guitars on Reverb held together with rusty 6 penny nails and rough unfinished wood. Just charge $4,000+ and they'll be back in no time.

I am surpised that their total debt if I'm reading this right is less than $3 million... that really isn't THAT much money, you would think the Fernandes brand is worth more than that and that they'd be able to sell to someone who'd keep the doors open but I also don't know or understand anything about finance so maybe that's stupid nevermind

It is a shame. On the other hand, I don’t recall ever seeing a Fernandes guitar in the wild. I’ve only ever seen them in old magazines and online.

One of my local shops always has a few Fernades guitars laying around in their used selection.
I've played a bunch of the years but never really played one that I wanted to take home. They're always OK for the money though.

Sad....not that popular of a company that I am aware of but they have been around for a while until now.

I always kinda liked their one model that looked like a Les Paul meets Dean Cadillac. The Ravelle? Revelle?

I had always assumed they were a larger OEM manufacturer than brand, but I guess that's not true.
