I watched a bunch of his monster movies like Not of This Earth, Wasp Woman, and Man with the X Ray Eyes on a black and white TV when I was a little kid in the 60s. That shit scarred me for life, and I loved every second of it.

Roger Corman was an extraordinarily important figure in filmmaking. His ingenuity and 'get the movie made' philosophy were legendary, and so many great directors served their apprenticeship working for Corman. His movies have given me so much pleasure over the years. RIP
Dan O'bannon wrote what would eventually become Alien as a movie for Corman to make.

It's understandable how you could mistake Roger 'The Rocketman' Clemons for Roger Corman.
For a moment, I did think it was Harvey Korman from the Carol Burnette Show. He was one funny man. He passed in 2008.
