I never owned any of his guitars, but I was certainly aware of them. He built a brand with his name that became legendary.

I'd have to say that Charvel makes my favorite SuperStrat style guitars. Especially the older SanDimas ones from the late 80's, early 90's.
Maybe the "Cease and Decist" letter from Fender that he most certainly received was just too much for him.
