I tried to order a pizza from Pizza Hut and they wouldn't deliver it to me because they said I was "outside their delivery area" because I'm in South Austin and they were in Georgetown. They said there was a Pizza Hut in South Austin I could call and that I could also come to Geoergetown and pick up my pizza in person if I wanted to, but under no circumstances would they be able to deliver to me.
What if I ordered twenty pizzas? I asked.
What if I ordered twenty Pepsis too?
No sir, under no circumstances are we allowed to deliver a pizza to you in South Austin.
I told him this is unbelievable. I told him this is what's wrong with our country these days. Nobody has any initiative to do anything. I asked him if he had a reliable car and he said yes so I said why don't you bring me my pizza then. He still refused. I can't believe this. I asked him how am I supposed to get any pizza? And he said I don't have that answer for you sir. I said well I do, you could deliver me one. Then he asked if I wanted to come pick the pizza up in person because if not then the conversation was over. I said that would be fine and told him not to dispense my Pepsi right away so it wouldn't go flat.
He said they're in 20 ounce bottles that are sealed. I said you're not gonna open them are you? He said no sir.
