Saw Tommy Emmanuel last night...

Richard Smith opened for him who's amazing, and then Tommy came out and blew everyone away. Time to burn all of my guitars and take up stamp collecting. Also how's everybody been, I need to visit more often.

I've seen him twice, once for a 3hr workshop that was incredible...and to be so close to watch such a guitarist was amazing. It's one of the reasons I've (perhaps foolishly) signed up for a 4 day camp with him and 3 other instructors.

Among his songs he did a Beatles medley, Over the Rainbow and the Johnny Cash version of NIN's Hurt. Goosebumps were had. At one point he talked about his newest guitar, a Chinese made Sigma that he recently fell in love with so the company delivered it to him at NAMM.

He did a Beatles medley last year when I saw him here. He might have done Over the Rainbow. I don't recall.
I wasn't very familiar with him, but I was shooting for the venue, and he blew me away. I had clearly been missing out.

Oh congrats man, I got married last September and we just got back from our honeymoon in Jamaica. I need to stop by more regularly and check up on everyone.
