So how do you guys like the general idea of this?

I still need to work out putting the tab on the screen but I was curious how you liked the quality of the video and sound. I didn't have this worked out in advance so it'll get redone a little more concisely as soon as I figure out how to get the notation on screen....

wait....i did not mean for YOU to study Cray....i was just saying that he did this kind of thing on his Strong Persuader record....and it also shows how to resolve the chord/lead dilemma....:thu:

That's pretty cool. I like how you detail what works and what doesn't over the dom A7 chord.
The video and sound are really good.

Good sound, good video, good stuff. I didn't know that I was already doing a lot of that stuff, but apparently Clapton is a master of playing over the changes, and MAN did I crib a lot of his shit.

Thanks everyone!

I think most folks once they've been playing for a while or have learned a lot of licks off of records pick up on the idea naturally but I've discovered that if you drop that particular idea on a new player he will suddenly start making musical sense a lot faster.

That was actually very cool.

Very cool, Mark.

The realization hit me that if I watch those, I may even learn how to play guitar.

Lesson sounds great. Audio and video come through loud and clear on my end, but you need to up the Grecian Formula to your beard. Quite a bit of grey coming through.....

Thanks everyone!

Yeah, as far as content, that is great. And the look and sound is much improved over the old vids. I would rehearse the content more, and try to avoid um's or little laughs over certain points as you did when you gave an example of a poor note choice part way through. Just seems less polished and professional.

Great lesson, and great look and sound! I just want for you to get the full benefit of your work and I think a little polish on the verbal presentation would be a good investment. I think for us that know you it is just fine as is, but for attracting a larger audience, that polish stuff will help out.

Of course this is meant very much constructively. This lesson is great stuff. And the criticism is small stuff, but if we don't point out the small stuff, (and it is really small stuff) we are not helping you get it in the best shape you can.

Very professional-looking video. And you probably already know this, but you should end the video with a matching shot of the opening segment where you're showing your face and directly addressing the audience. Otherwise, your audience leaves with the lasting impression of a generic headless torso instead of associating the video with you and the personal brand you're trying to create.

REEEjected! No play for Mr. Gray!
