SO the wife is ticked at me

I didnt get out of bed yesterday. Horrible fever, horrendous sore throat, bad bodyaches. I was supposed to go to her dad's with her yesterday and of course I didnt, and she says she didnt get any sleep last night (she slept on the couch, I assume I was tossing and turning).

I feel bad I couldnt go with her, but am I out of line for wanting maybe a little sympathy? I really felt like shit. Still do but not as bad. Tried to give her a hug a little bit ago, she literally pulled back from me.
 
She might just be irritable due to a crappy night's sleep on the couch. If you feel that bad you are better off staying home rather than getting everyone else sick.

Yeah, maybe. I told myself that, shes just cranky, but seems like every time I get sick she gets annoyed, like, I'm a guy so I should be tougher than germs and I need to get off my ass.

I have been through that as well where Mrs D has gotten irritated with me when my back goes out. Like I enjoyed being in soul numbing pain....
 
I think it is just hows wives react. My wife give me no sympathy when my gout flares up.

Seriously though, mojo Chihli. Sometimes we just have bad days.
 
I'm so used to getting no sympathy (or downright hostility) from my wife when I'm sick that I'm actually surprised when she gets all nurturing and makes soup or brings me an extra blanket.

The best bit was when I had this horrid stomach flu and ended up sprawled out naked on the hardwood floor because I couldn't make it back to bed after another marathon puke session. She said it was because I ate too much junk food and red meat and that I was just being dramatic. When she came down with it herself a few days later, it was a different story!
 
What is this "getting sick" y'all are speaking of? :lol:

But that sucks, Chihli. Feel better, man.
 
My wife knows I struggle through most things so if I can't get out of bed, she knows I really can't get out of bed.

Doesn't necessarily stop her getting fed up and grumpy about having to do everything while I'm out of it though.
 
Well, now she has given me a new jacket she bought for me yesterday, and a new CD she bought for me Saturday. Says she wants me to stay away from her, however, as she doesnt want what I have. I'm cool with that.
