Question: So which rolling cart should I get?

After this weekends disaster with this piece of shit: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/acce...kc90-karma-series-transport-cart--medium-duty I am looking at getting one of these two:

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/R8RT/

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/R10RT/

I need it most of the time for my guitar rig and a monitor speaker but more often I'm having to transport a full PA as well.

I think a few of you guys might have experience with this stuff:

@baimun @Psychotronic @jbj @Modern Saint @Prages

Okay.... I just measured the wheels on mine. I actually have the R8, not the R10. It is difficult to tell from the pictures.

I usually stretch it all the way out and put all 4 pa speakers on it with some stands on top, then the next load has cases full of lights, cables, mixer and my guitar on top. They're exactly the same frame except for the bigger tires on the 10. Since the tires don't fold, having the 8" tires actually packs better when it's all the way closed. The only configuration I don't use is the "fridge dolly" however I do lift the one end to use the large tires for up and down the stairs and it's perfectly fine for dolly like that.

The only way I would go with the 10" tires is if you were frequently rolling through grass or dirt.

Thats what I was thinking but I didn't know if it was worth it or not....and carrying PA cabs is no problem with it?

For the few extra bucks I'd go with the R10
My big concern actually is that it fits in my car with everything else. If I can get away with the smaller wheels that would be cool. Tyler is suggesting the R10 too.

The tires have no problem carrying the weight of my speakers.... 4 of the JBL PRX 615 (2 way cabs with 15" woofer and amp)

JBL lists those speakers as 44 pounds each, so that's 176 pounds plus stands and other crap I pile on top. No prob. One of the best investments I've made, and I wouldn't want to go to any larger of a tire. If anything, I'd increase the size of the caster tire so when it's loaded on all 4 it could roll through grass better, but I've used it outside before.

That pretty much answers my question. Interestingly enough the SRM450's I have are 51 lbs a piece with a 12" driver, amp and horn

That's one thing that drew me to the JBLs. My Yamaha 15" passives were 61 pounds a piece without even the amps in there. The JBLs are not plastic either... they're a coated marine plywood enclosure. They just use really light neo magnets and very lightweight crown amps in them.

I have an R8. It has served me well when I needed to take alot of stuff. I don't carry as much as you guys do but when I had to bring my PA it fit everything. The only caution is too make sure your tires are filled with air. Like a bike, if you don't check it often - the tires will be flat.

This one.

Mark, I've got the R8, too, and like Baimun says, unless you're going though dirt or grass (I'll add gravel), the R8 is fine and it's more compact. I don't gig as much as you guys, but when I do, I have all the PA gear + my drums to haul, so this cart is a real back saver for me.
