the story behind that one is it's a crappy cover jam of some guys who know each other from temple. i know the drummer so that's how i ended up playing with them. then i brought in my bass player who is Vietnamese. so from his perspective, considering we're playing mostly 60s and 70s covers, that would be a great title.

no idea about the next two days but tonight marked the start of me and my friends 5aside summer season now that we're all back home from uni for the summer.
entering a league already running taking a vacant teams slot so we have 3 games we dont care about before the league rolls around and everyones back on 0 points.
20-4 later and we're pretty pleased with our nights work, not bad for a 30 minute game

Friday, yes.
Today I'm leaving work to go golfing around 3, hopefully the weather holds out and we can get a full round in since we're incorporating some gambling into it. Tonight I'll probably just watch the late Phils game, maybe watch Black Swan before that if there's time.
Tomorrow I'm going to a wedding for some hot chick my gf works with, which will be equal parts win and fail. Fail for not knowing anybody and having to get dressed up, win for the free booze and possibility of eye candy.
Sunday I may or may not do lunch with my mom and brother and his family. In the afternoon I'll be hanging out at my dad's house swimming, cooking out, maybe some wiffle ball and beer.
Busy weekend but not too shabby.

Today is the first day of no school for my son...we have to get ready for hosting fathers day on Sunday. This afternoon its shooting lesson videos with Tyler.
Saturday is work and a gig in Long Beach in the afternoon.

Saturday - I'm planning a long run in the morning and then some yard work that is badly overdue.
Sunday - I'm playing guitar at church in the morning and then no idea what I'm doing in the afternoon. Maybe some ribs in the smoker and a six pack in the fridge.

Sunday - My father's day is screwed as I must board a plan to head to South Carolina for work Monday morning. Got a 1.5 hr layover in Houston. Will be returning late Tuesday.

Going camping or backpacking this weekend. Took Monday off and heading up to the eastern Sierras tomorrow. I was supposed to climb Mt. Whitney(tallest peak in the lower 48) on Monday but there is more snow and ice then I'm comfortable with especially since my gf was coming as well.
So I'll be roaming the wild for the next few days or drinking beer and eating veggie burgers in some mountain town, who knows.

Happy Independence Weekend bitches.
Work is dead, I can't believe I have to sit here all day and do nothing. Tonight is my buddy's rehearsal dinner, then just relaxing at home.
Tomorrow I'm in my buddy's wedding, gotta go early and help him set up the PA, pose for the photographer, etc. Ceremony is outside, supposed to be 90 and humid so those black shirt/suit combos will be awesome. Then we will go inside and I will try my best not to get shitfaced as I'm in the wedding party (probably won't happen).
Sunday is recovery time, chilling around the house, might cook out a bit and have peeps over. Monday I'll try to get some stuff done around the house and work on recording more.

I have to finish packing my belongings for our move around the corner, and my internet blackout until middle of next week... Yeehaw...
Mrs W has the day off so I'm taking it off, too. We're going to get the car serviced, pick up PA cabinets for tomorrow and do all kinds of exciting stuff.
Saturday I teach early 8-12, run home to trade cars and then sprint up to Camarillo to play a wedding.
Sunday its a family birthday feats for two folks

I was out last night watching a friends band. They were awesome. Ended up going to a gay club after it. One of my friends is gay and it was £1 a drink so who am i to complain?
Today I've lounged around, fiddled a bit more with my Deusenberg and I'm DJing down my local pub tonight so some pals are coming down. As for the remainder of the weekend, I should get some mixing done. Got 6-7 songs halfway done, I've been slacking severely on that lately.
