The guitar brand you always come back to

What is the guitar brand that you always come back to? For me, it would be Ibanez. It started back in 1987 when I fell in love with the Jem. Over the years, everyone quite a few of them. I own guitars from other brands I love like PRS and Fender. But I always come back to Ibanez. Here’s my current Ibanez line up… how about you?

Epiphone. They do not get a whole lot of love by many, but I have never had any complaints about them. Since I cannot see paying premium for Gibson's, Epi works just fine for me. I am also a Schecter fan.

I own five Epis (two acoustics and three electrics), two Schecter's and a Traveler electric.

I don't buy or own enough guitars to really answer the question but I would say Fender and Reverend for electric and Martin and Yamaha for acoustic based on what I own/have owned.

I guess Fender and Gibson. I'm returning to Reverend in the near future but it would only be the second one of their instruments that I've owned. I also own a couple of really nice Guild guitars but I don't see myself buying any more. Might sell the jazz guitar if the market turns around at some point.

As much as I hate it I always come back to Gibson. The company has always sucked but the guitars, when you get a good one, just fit me.
I really like Teles. IMO a trad Tele cant really be improved upon. If I could only own 1 elec guitar a Tele is the rational choice.
But I still prefer playing my SG.
Ive tried to love Strats but I just cant. Offsets seem kinda cool but Ive never took the plunge on one.
Gretsches are a good compromise between a Fender and a Gibson. My favorite as far as versatility, but when I put my paws on the right Gibson I feel most at home.

Basses on the other hand, gotta give Fender the #1 spot.
You really cant improve upon a P Bass or a Jazz.

I no longer have a go-to brand in guitars. My 1st pro level electric was an Ibanez Proline. At the time based on that guitar and their catalogs I thought I'd just play Ibanez for the rest of my life. My next great guitar was an HM series Strat that my music shop customized/modded for me. That had me LOVING Fenders. For HS graduation my parents grandmother bought me a PRS Custom (still have, but did sell at one point w/ right of 1st refusal). Up next however was an Ibanez RG 770, jewel blue w/ direct mount pups...but then an AM Std Strat (also still have) and an Ibanez A/E, like Paul Gilbert played in the To Be w/ You video.

The guitars I added and still own are:
- MIJ '69 Thinline (modded)
- U.S. ASAT Special, fat & wide neck
- Takamine 1997 Ltd Gecko
- PRS CE-22 maple top
- Ibby Talman A/E beater
- Takamine EAN55C
- Godin A5 E/A bass
- Morgan Monroe short scale 12-string
- La Patrie Concert CW QI
- Godin Session Custom
- Larrivee OM-40

I just buy what I like and generally keep it for the long haul. I'd buy from all of the manufacturers above again, but also tons of companies from which I've never previously purchased products.

Ibanez really covers all the bases at pretty much ALL price points. You can live in the Fender world (as you seem to prefer) or the Gibson world (AS, AR, & AF lines). They make great stuff.

Reverend. I currenlty own three and have bought 6 or 7 over the past decade or so. I just recently bought an Epiphone and a Guild. Both had wiring issues new out of the box. Reverend never has. The Epi is going up for sale soon since I never play it.

Gibson and Schecter. Gibson because I love the humbuckers, four knobs, and fat necks (and I still need to sell the Les Paul I bought in November that does not have a fat neck). Schecter because they’re on par with a great American guitar for a lot less money. And because they do cool shit like my green baritone with a kill switch and a Sustainiac.

None. I have no brand loyalty and buy guitars on a need basis, which happens very rarely. I currently have:

- Charvel
- ESP
- Washburn
- Steinberger

apart from the Charvel all of my guitars are modded

Heritage, I own 2.
Gibson, I will always be a Les Paul guy.
Fender,I love Tele's,and Fender basses.

Fender, I guess. It's the single coils and the whammy, I think. I like the Strat sound because it has this hollow, transparent, springy, boingy-spoingy sound that I think is fun to fool around with. I prefer low-medium output PUs.
