Titebond if you want a giggable tone.Real Toan is in the wood glue. If you want shitty toan, go ahead and use that Elmer's crap.
Only the finest imported wood glue from the Ardan Forrest will do.
Don't they make that in Dog River?I prefer hide glue, preferably made from genuine Saskatchewan seal skin.
(Super Dave joke) don't hate.
I think it’s funny how many people hate on plywood guitars when most high-end hollow and semihollow electrics are made of molded plywood.
Yes and no. Made from laminated sheets of maple veneers yes. That's not the same as a piece of 'baltic birch' plywood you find at home depot, stack up to make a body from then rout it out as a guitar. That stuff is as much wood as chips glued together.
That being said, I've played some plywood guitars that were boat anchors but surprisingly good sounding. Not great, but good. Pickups change the voice of a guitar, the wood changes how it says it.
I like it when they build electric guitars out of old skateboard decks.
Which, of course, are made of high quality ply.
I love these. But I was a hardcore skater in the 80s.
What?! They took the trucks off?! They're doing it wrong. How else are you going to ride your axe to the gig?I like it when they build electric guitars out of old skateboard decks.
