I bought a 1989 Ibanez RG570 HSH a year ago understanding it was a players grade guitar. However, when I actually got it, it stopped working shortly after. Looking at guts, I could tell someone had tried rewiring and very poorly, so I tried getting a replacement for original wiring and that did not resurrect, So I ordered two Dimarzio Blue Bobbin Humbuckers, ToneZone F-Spaced for bridge and the Air Norton for neck.after upgrading, rewiring, the middle single coil still did not work. However at that time, I was out of time and had to leave for Navy. So in preparation for a trip back to Michigan last week, I ordered a new Dimarzio True Velvet middle single coil pickup and a new Gunstreet Ibanez RG wiring harness. Wired everything in while I was home and brought it back with me as well as my Bassman. Getting it all dialed in, but things are sounding good...Like to have a broad Spice Rack to cook with. Next project, I have a CAPI VP28 500 series pre-amp (think API) that I am going ton start putting together.
