I made good on my threat to restring guitars. Did 3 of them and then spent the rest of the weekend in a frenzy to play them all a lot and take advantage of that sweet new-strings sound.
First came the PRS - first time I have restrung this one. The easy-access tailpiece made it a pleasure.


Then it was the Collings’ turn. First time for this guitar too.

Finally, the ASAT. The bridge hardware on this one, unlike the PRS, is a beach to deal with and can only be managed with the help of a pair of needle-nose pliers. It does have locking tuners though so at least that end of the procedure is easy.
