What are your current biggest pet peeves with regards to fashion at the moment ?

I have two....

Number one and a trend that needs to go away AGAIN is prints on the back of t-shirts....this was never a good idea. i don't know when it initially began but it seems to go through cycles. it was a thing in the late 80's and some of 90's then wonderfully dissapeared for a while and it seems a few years ago reared it's ugly head and resurfaced.
I don't want a stupid design on the back which gets hot in the sun or just sticks to your back whensitting in a chair. It also is tacky looking, makes you look like a giant billboard at best and at worst a tool if you are paying to advertise a logo for a company.

Number 2 , is there a coincidence this spot is number 2 (aka the universal slang for taking a poop)/ ....number 2 is wearing shoes with no socks....this is bad hygiene and it also looks dorky.

For whatever reason over here young adult males dress code for nights out - pub and clubs to birthday parties (and I've even seen it at a couple of weddings) is old jeans with a white t shirt 3x too big for them. Usually plain or with a no doubt ridiculously priced sweat shop brand on it.

I've been reliably informed it's the fashion is but it looks absolute shit especially when you see girls who have spent hours getting dolled up for a night out and they're cutting about with guys who look like they've thrown on the first thing they found on the floor. I suppose it's just the zeitgeist shifting. I'm sure the old timers who wouldn't be seen dead in a club not wearing a suit would say we looked like slobs wearing nice jeans, shoes and a shirt.


It's died down a bit but for years Peaky Blinders-esque was a fashion which when done right looks great but most folk can't pull it off really well.


Paying ridiculous amounts of money for trainers that an Indonesian orphan made really baffles me too.

I just assume everyone wears these things. I do.

My only 'pet peeve' is grown ass adults (lets say 40+ years of age) dressing like a teenager. I see this all the time. Some guy who is grandfather age wear gym shorts off the hip (showing his underwear), whatever the current hot young adult t-shirt brand is, and a ball cap on sideways. It does not make you look younger, just bad. Really bad. Same with older ladies dressing like their daughters. Maybe 5% of ladies that age could pull it off, but even then it does not look good. And they generally are not the ones trying.

I hate wearing socks, but if I am leaving the house in shoes, I have socks on. Unless I am wearing sandals. Socks with sandals are verboten. Or Hey Dude shoes....but they are glorified sandals anyways.
 
I'll go sockless in loafers maybe twice a year just because it seemed to fit the occasion and I inherited some nice Italian penny loafers.
Loafers seem to always eat my socks. Only thin mens dress socks will say up.
I thought about getting some of those hidden sock liner things and see if they stay on but Ive never gotten around to it.
Normally I wear sock with everything except sandals or flip flops.
In summertime I probably spend 90% of my time in Teva flip flops.

We were shopping for new school stuff recently and I saw Hey Dudes and made a comment that those looked comfortable. My daughter told me I was not allowed to even consider getting a paid. Not sure what it means, but that happened.
 
Fashion doesn’t really exist here in Colorado. People wear jeans and sandals everywhere. And outdoor clothes—people go everywhere dressed like they’re about to go hiking or skiing. I’ve never seen a woman with heels and a designer handbag in Colorado but I see plenty wearing shoes and jackets from REI.

Me and my multiple pairs of Hey Dudes (with removeable, washable outers and inners) just smirk and say "have a nice day". :helper:

Oh man ….don’t get me started on those ,worse than barefoot.at least the barefoot guy is going all in those are for confused people (should I wear socks or should I not…..throws on a compromise) plus they are not comfortable and invite heel blisters

With regards to the t shirt thing I stated in my OP it has more to do not with what people are wearing but rather the options I have. If I go online to buy a shirt 8 of 10 will have a dumb back print so it takes forever to find something
