Mojo Request WITH VIDEO! I am going to be one of the featured "artists" at a songwriter showcase here in Austin this evening at a place called Hole In The Wall!

Edit: video!

I'm going to try and get multi-camera video and edit it together so I can keep learning how to do that. I'm one of three musicians, I have the middle set. I'm just taking a keyboard this time, no guitar. And it's just me solo. Never done a solo non-guitar set before. All originals too (maybe one cover if time allows).

I don't usually get nervous but I am definitely a little jittery now. Wish me luck :embarrassed:

Thanks guys, a few blunders and bum notes / chords aside I think it went really well, and I also managed to capture the three camera angles I wanted pretty good too. I'll try to get it edited over the weekend and of course I'll post it up here once Terry's back from doin her chasin's.

Awesome can't wait to see and hear.

What editing software do you use?
I am "teaching myself" Adobe Premiere pro. And by teaching myself I mean learning how to do only the very specific things I'm trying to do by googling them or watching a YouTube video. At some point I should probably take an actual course but so far that's gotten me what I need.

I'm trying to get into some of the songwriting rounds here in town. Super jealous and looking forward to the video.

Why did you put "artist" in "parentheses"? Does the Hole in the "Wall" only "accept" artists who "encapsulate" themsel"ves"? "".""

haha I don't know why but I always think it's funny when "artist" is used to describe people (including me) for things like this... not that we aren't artists I guess but it always seems so haughty to me. add the word "featured" to it and it's even worse. Like any time someone plays aren't they being featured? And ooooh they're not just a musician they're an ARTIST... well... anyways that's what I think.

You should really embrace the artist thing. For no other reason than, If you screw up, the audience will just assume they aren't smart enough to understand it.

I mean you’ve recorded… so technically you should’ve been a featured recording artist. What do they have against dads and ice cream?
