It’s been a massively long week. Had two gigs (the third was cancelled when the contractor got Covid). I’m pooped.

Saturday- went to Canadian Tire to get some supplies.
Fixed the terlet.
Washed my hands.
Fixed the ice maker.

Sunday - fixed my server.
Did a mock up of my new pedal board - just to see what fits. Not so much the actual pedals.
I’m going to axe that power supply and move my Voodoo II over from my PedalTrain. I think. It will fit underneath.
The G8 is shifted up so that the send and receive jacks are over the gap.

The cooler weather is finally here. Enjoyed a few rides, did some gardening, and worked with the 11 month old dumped dog we rescued last week. The couple who said they were interested in adopting stopped responding to my texts, however. People suck.

He's super sweet, playful and non-aggressive. He appears to have been mistreated a little, but warmed up quickly. We're calling him "Petey", like the Little Rascals' dog.

Friday I had my first paid photography gig, a co-worker asked me to follow her family around for the high school homecoming since her son is a senior and her husband is the football coach. Went pretty well I thought.

Saturday I did not much other than edit photos from Friday, and voted.

Sunday I did some more photo editing and a little shopping.

Found out Thursday at 10pm toilet wasn’t working. Worked all day Friday, had an early gig Friday evening. Toilets and showers still not working. Yikes. The lady of the house was pretty upset.

Started calling folks early Saturday morning to pump septic tank. Got somebody there. Turns out the sump pump had broken. Got it changed out. Everything started working again. I’ve never lived in a house that wasn’t on city water and sewer. I know what to look out for now. The lady of the house was no longer upset. Went tailgating and to the LSU game. Good times.

Sunday did some housework type stuff and played a gig with a new to me band that has a regular Sunday thing so we could have a “rehearsal” before some gigs I’ve booked us coming up next month. They do rocked out versions of old school blues and Greyboy Allstars type stuff. I’ve played with the bass player before so throwing in my tunes was real easy as well.

Friday - dinner with daughter 1.
Saturday - got some scenes made on the fractal and setup the footswitches, then scrapped the footswitch settings and made them different. Was planning on taking it to my neighbors to jam, but it was raining and I didn't feel like lugging my Headrush cab over, so I just used an amp that was over there.
Sunday - watched football.

Pretty uneventful weekend. It rained all day and night on Saturday, so it was an indoor day, and didn't get to see any of the eclipse. It was only going to be partial out here anyway.

Sunday was nice, but I spent half of the day under my '02 pickup truck swapping out the starter. Once I got it running I went to Home Depot to pick up some plywood sheets to build some closet shelving, but ran out of energy (and daylight). I'm working on those shelves this week.

Pick-up swapping time?

If it was only that easy. This guitar has weird resonances on the high E and low E. The whole guitar has a compressed, non dynamic sound. I built it with the standard formula for a strat, 3 piece alder 4 1/2 lbs, maple rosewood, full sized steel block and stainless saddles, (I've swapped the steel for a full sized brass block...no change}. I've tried many high quality pickups and pots....I'm stumped. I suspect there might be something funky about the truss rod even though it works perfectly.
