yeah....I'd like to incorporate it a bit into my playing..some of the lines he plays in the solo are killer.
 
The concept IS actually simple, I understood that immediately, but like you said, the execution--whew! Damn, more shit to practice.

seriously. and moving it past the first octave is a joy. I did transpose it into a minor scale during a lesson this afternoon though :embarrassed:
 
Very cool. It is a nice way to improve the focus on target tones as you see the scale in a different manner vs the standard domino effect. You also work on diads greater than an octave which is really cool in viewing chord extentions differently.
 
This is really cool..it's also encouraging me to hybrid pick more in order to deal with some of the octave jumps..
