seriously. and moving it past the first octave is a joy. I did transpose it into a minor scale during a lesson this afternoon though

Very cool. It is a nice way to improve the focus on target tones as you see the scale in a different manner vs the standard domino effect. You also work on diads greater than an octave which is really cool in viewing chord extentions differently.
