HNGD! shreddy guitars w/ trems get a bad rap - they are burdened by association with the spandex/80's hair band thing. its crazy that you can buy used MIA jackson soloist for ~$1K (w/ case!). severely undervalued, IMO and far far from a one trick pony. For those who think floyd'ed...

my band's trailer was stolen last Dec 20th (2016) with about $20k worth of gear. it sucks that people can do such thing, especially around the holidays. will keep an eye out for this dude's guitar and hope he is reunited with his instrument.

my primary stage guitar is pine with a carved maple top. get compliments on its tone quite often from sound guys, guitarists in the audience, etc. its my only telecaster so i can't easily compare its pros/cons to traditional tele bodies made of ash or alder.

i've seen them blown out for even less depending on the dealer. i got my orange socal for around $600 shipped. great guitars even at the normal 2008 street price IMO!

HNGD! I got in on this deal too. its a fun guitar to play, has great tone and unlike most people I'm enjoying the robo tuners.. being able to switch from open G, to E standard, to Eb to Eb drop C#, then to a custom open G but tuned half step down is pretty awesome feature for a practice...

do these have the really wide nut width? i tried one of the les pauls in the store and it felt more like a classical guitar up near the nut. seems like a good deal though for a USA made guitar w/ case. EDIT: yes it does, just checked specs: 1.795"

the fernandes is a mahogany body, maple neck. 3/4" carved maple top (you can see it thru the red stain top if you look closely). it feels more similar to a PRS than a les paul. its a really great quality guitar and a lot of fun to play. its got a smallish body size so i look goofy holding it...
