Dig it! HNGD, LTD Edition

snoochie boochies
Really surprised how much I like this guitar. Wanted something pointy to jam on. Found this, played it, and thought, “what the fuck!?” Feels like old neck through Jacksons I played in the early nineties. Took it and the Piranha with me on minication, oiled the fretboard, cleaned the dead skin cells off, restrung, and adjusted the spring tensions in the back. Just wow! This guitar really resonates acoustically.

Active pups, no real experience before this. They sound rad! Really hot, I am running the AD30 and 6505 (on the green channel) in stereo. If I want to solo, kick the 6505 to the red channel and leave the AD30 as is, great sound with great definition thanks to the Orange.

Does that Spandex still fit?

I really enjoyed my Westone Spectrum (similar vibe, but with a reverse headstock) but like the explorer felt it was simply anachronistic strapped to my osteoporosis-riddled sloped shoulders!

HNGD!

shreddy guitars w/ trems get a bad rap - they are burdened by association with the spandex/80's hair band thing. its crazy that you can buy used MIA jackson soloist for ~$1K (w/ case!). severely undervalued, IMO and far far from a one trick pony.

For those who think floyd'ed guitars can't get great tone, consider this:

Cool .

LTD has good stuff.
Agreed!

This is my third. My first strat shaped LTD, and it fits me better than any of the eclipse LTDs or my old potbelly, which are damn nice guitars, I just fit best with Fenderish designs.

I have heard great tone on Floyd equipped guitars. This is one of them!
