Hot or Not? Adorama strikes again.... here it is, I got the Vintera 50s Strat for almost a half off

They are back up to $1099 at Adorama. now but I got this one for $599 off the link @PunkKitty shared a while ago. I am at my folks house here in Atlanta until the beginning of January so I just had it shipped here, I can carry it on the plane back with me. But that means I don't have any of my set up tools, and this thing needs it because it was Still sealed in the factory factory packaging. So I don't think anybody has messed with it at all since it left. It's a 2022 model.

But setup aside it is really nice! A good weight (7.6 lbs) and the soft V neck feels good. I don't really have a decent amp here, just a little practice mustang, so I haven't plugged it in yet. But it feels very well made.

it is not quite this dark in real life, not sure why the picture came out that way, but here it is!

The one-ply guard is a bit thin and I can imagine it warping a bit, but I think it fits the aesthetic of the 50s style and color. I wonder if they make an eight hole 3 ply guard, most of them are 11 hole...

I'm pretty sure Warmoth makes one...

I’ve owned several 50’s style Strats with the one ply guards, they all warp eventually…def. part of the whole aesthetic.

Well ya might not believe it... but this is a KILLER strat now that I am home and have it dialed in. I think I lucked out because I have gotten some real dogs from Adorama in the past but this one is really nice. So much so that I am going to sell the AVii '61 Strat. It is also a killer Strat, but my eyes have a hard time seeing the clay dots on the side of the rosewood neck in stage lighting. Plus I still have the McCready and Harrison sigs if I need a rosewood 60s style Strat for some reason. But I could see this becoming one of my main guitars. Super comfortable (I really like the soft V) and the trem really stays in tune great! Yayayayayayayayaaaaaaa!

Have you tried using some kind of glowing dots on the side markers?
