Cheers Mark.....

....meaning thanks as we often say in the Islands.

I've been here about a week now and it is a much nicer place to be, and as such I've deleted my toolbar HCEG and replaced it with MW EG, which will now be my default place to come.

Also I managed to find a copy of your book, Foundations, so I'm going to start to try and learn again, and not just be a builder. My son who is 11 recently passed his Grade 3 exam and his teacher has put him on the Grade 5 syllabus as he is progressing so well.

I'm so proud when I see him just sit down with now with any guitar, classical, steel string or electric, open up a music book, and read not tab, but pukka music and without even glancing at his fretting hand start to play what's on the sheet music in front of him. He's also just taken up double bass, so he can partake in the school orchestra.

Playing music is a wonderful gift, as is teaching, so God Bless you all players and teachers

Happy Friday:)

I like this place too - and it's good to see HCEG exiles with knowledge and experience like yourself making the switch too.

As long as the trolls don't follow...

Don't worry about the trolls, we have an electrified perimeter fence.

Oh, and welcome. Good to see both of you over here.

I agree with Ratae - this place is great. When I first came here, it was a second home after Guitar Jam. It eventually became my first home as the climate suits my nature. Thanks to Mark and everyone who posts for making this such a nice place to visit. :thu:

Yeah, I love this site. I came over from Wholenote, where I hung out for years. I've been here a couple years now, but most heavily in the last year. Good people.

Thanks everyone!

I'm glad you're liking the place...we've tried (not always successfully, but more often than not) to keep the drama down and just have a good time here.

And Ratae, I'm getting a small glimpse of what you're seeing with my daughter. My son has very little interest in playing music (he's more into the sciences and will make a "proper
living I'm sure ) but my daughter just started piano lessons at age 4 and is reading rhythms and playing simple melodies with one hand already. It's really fun to watch your own children get excited about something and grow in front of your eyes.

When you get your copy of Foundations send me a PM here. I can set you up with something that will help the process along. :thu:

I love it here too! Joined in 2010 when Mark told me to check it out. Great people here and great discussions as well.

Thanks Mark!

I came over after HC 3.0 rolled out. This place is just like HC the few years I was over there before the fiasco.

Oh. And the look. It's just the way it should be.

...HC just had an unfortunate spell.
