Christmas Haul 2020

Xmas gifts have been mostly concert Tix for the coming year. Steely Dan on the 27 this month, Allie X in April a few more when we decide later...

Got the wife some stuff she wanted. The wife got me the freedom to get any toy I wanted. Win/Win.

I am gonna keep my Firebird and (Squier) ‘72 Thinline, and maybe trade the other two guitars in toward...a guitar. Or a modeler. Or an amp. Or nothing...or, keep the other guitars and buy something outright.

Source Audio makes some seriously good gear.
Yes they do. They run the risk with many people of letting you get ugly sounds as a feature, sort of like the Metal Zone (I bet you Josh Smith loves them). They have such a large percentage of sounds that are just plain strange that it scares traditionalists off.

Sort of like how I turned in one of those Digitech auto filter pedals with 7 different settings because 5 of the settings sounding like trash although one sounded good and the other perfect. I found it a waste to have the other settings and bought a Micro Q instead.

I really like this though

I simply want Santa to bring me some free time so I can demo the giant pile of songs I’ve written this year. And a Rickenbacker 330.

I got a week off from now till the 2nd. I plan to go Camping for a couple days in SW New Mexico...

I got the Carvin WG5 or whatever it is called wireless guitar unit. Hope to try to use it at practice before the New Years Eve show to see if it gets used that night also.

I asked for nothing for Christmas - but to hack $100 out of the budget to put into my music fund. Maybe within 12-18 months I might have enough to get the 'with me 'til I die' acoustic. Which will be a Lowden. Likely an F23 or O23. They run about $3K used and are very hard to find. This will probably be my next birthday and Christmas gifts as well (cash for the fund).

We're a family and food focused Christmas crowd, so no big gifts. I got a lot of gear for an upcoming trip into the jungle, some studio headphones, and a glass bottle cutter from my 6yo--"you like making things, and you can make things without this!"

It's just me and my dad. I scored! was totally not expecting it all but he got me a Stio "eddy" wind/water resistant shirt, a pair of Asolo low cut Gore tex hiking shoes and a Wacaco "minipresso" portable handheld 18 bar espresso "machine"....AND one of my aunts sent to his house for me a Card with fity dolla!

I got a Smooth 4 gimbal, Beastgrip Pro with Macro lens, Kitchenaid Mixer 5 Pro, DMI Dart Board (the absolute best there is), some new darts at 23 grams, and a rice cooker.
Got the wife a back up cam for her truck, series 5 Apple watch, a new Tile, and a carry on suitcase.
My kids got a bunch of stuff. It was a great day. Had family over, ate prime rib, drank, slept, cleaned. Good times.

OK. I ordered a set of in-ear Shure SE425 monitors with my Amazon cards.

I put a Strymon Iridium in my cart on Sweetwater and I'm going to wait for my rep to inevitably call. Apparently you need to call to order these things even though they are in stock?

yeah, all Strymon stuff you need to call and order at Sweetwater. My guy told me why, but I can’t remember.
