It’s weird as fuck all. But I admire the guy for developing and machining his own hardware. That’s some serious dedication.
 
Yeah - that's impressive. Not sure it's a good strategy to try and recover all of your tooling costs with your first sale though.

Agreed. Is this luthier famous like Gil Yaron? Because I can’t see some random guy selling guitars for $15,000.
 
Seriously, why wouldn't you just say, "$14,775, free shipping!"?

Probably so buyers assume it will be well packed and insured. Nobody wants their $14,500 guitar shipped in a gig bag stuffed into a cardboard box with newspaper.
