Have you ever met any famous musicians?

I have been really lucky to meet some of the people I have met. Favorites include Lemmy, Willie Nelson, Mike Ness, Corey Parks and Dave Mustaine

Fall Out Boy (Pete Wentz 4 times), Nick Wheeler from The All American Rejects, I watched a concert with the lead singer from All Time Low, Thrice, Atreyu, Smile Empty Soul, New Found Glory, and probably a few that I can't think of.

Danny Gatton, Robben Ford, Allan Holdsworth, Adrian Vandenberg, David Pack (Ambrosia), Al DiMeola, Tommy Tedesco, Yngwie Malmsteen, Marty Friedman, Albert Lee, The Hellecasters - John Jorgenson, Jerry Donahue and Will Ray, Teachers from MI, etc and many more that I can't remember.

It depends on what you mean by "met." I chatted after a show with Billy Bragg, but that was sort of "nice show"..."yeah thanks mate" and a few other exchanges. I talked with Ian MacKaye about the somewhat uneven opening hours of a record store as we sat outside waiting for it to open.

I wouldn't call them very deep meetings...

Oh yeah. I said hey to Gregg Allman at the Atlanta airport while on my way to Pragestock a few years ago. That was pretty neat.

Other than the band Symphony X at a meet n' greet at the 2005 Gigantour, no.

Gary Moore walked right by me and a couple of my buddies before a concert in Battle Creek, MI back in 1983. The three of us were the first ones to show up at the door to stand in line, and he walked right by carrying his guitar case. He kind of hid his face with the case so we wouldn't recognize him, so we figured he didn't want to be bothered.

I also walked right past Gavin Harrison of Porcupine Tree in Chicago, the first time I saw PT. He was just walking around the neighborhood near the venue. I thought it was him but wasn't quite sure, so I didn't stop and try and chat, just in case it wasn't him. Turns out it was, when I saw him behind the drum kit later that night.

And I still swear I saw David Crosby standing on a street corner in Las Vegas early morning, maybe 6:30am, when I was out in LV for the Air Force one time. It looked just like him, and there was a pretty blonde on his arm, whoever it was. I was in our military truck and we were heading to the base from our hotel, didn't stop.

I met Dave Murray and Janick Gers of Iron Maiden about 20 years ago, and Jim Marshall when I was 15 or 16. Alice Cooper in 2001.

My ex brother in law called me from a bar while hanging out with Jeff Healy and he said hello into the phone. I had forgotten about that. Closest I've gotten.

On my way to a Tom Waits show (the late show of two he was performing that night), I was crossing the street. People who saw the first show were leaving. In the middle of the crosswalk, I made eye contact and nodded a hello to short woman who gave a polite smile back. After a couple seconds, I realized it was Bette Midler.

Phish, Carlos Santana (and PRS at the same time), B.B. King, Bob Weir, Buddy Guy, Joan Jett, Jaimoe, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Sarah MacLachlan, Jorma Kaukonen, Johnny Cash, Ian Hunter, Chris Barron, Doug Wimbish, Rick Danko, Dickey Betts, Ian Anderson, The Smothers Brothers, Peter Yarrow, Paul Kantner, Matt Murphy, Tom Malone, Grace Potter, many more. I've worked in sound reinforcement and concert production for almost 20 years, so most of these people I met on the job or through other friends in the business. It's been a blessing and a curse though. While I've gotten to meet some musical heroes, some of them have turned out to be complete tools.

No :(
Well..I guess I kind of met Mike Ness while fixing the lights on the SD tour bus. He popped in with his parents to see the progress but a brief wave and a quiet "how do ya do" is all that was exchanged.

Back in the 1980's, Pete Seeger came to Baltimore to do a benefit concert fir a coffehouse I was involved in. I got to meet him at the show; a few of us went out for coffee with him after the show. It was really neat hearing some of his stories. He was very nice and down-to-earth.

Colin James signed autographs after a show.

That's pretty much it, I think. I feel like I'm forgetting one though.

Unless the guys from Teenage Head count.
I met them at an autograph session in a record store.

I didn't bother him, but I watched Sting comfort his son who had injured his leg skiing here once. Helped Spielberg find his kid after a lesson. ( not a musician but still.). Taught Kenny G for a few days all g with rob Lowe who fake played a sax in an old 80's movie. Steve Miller attended a Martin guitar demo night at the little guitar store we used to have here and we talked for a minute. Have seen many others here skiiing.
