Those finishes are great, they really allow the guitar to breathe. Drop a Gibson pickup in it and you'll love the tone.

I've seen a couple of Gibson electrics with that finish. It's sexy as hell.

Swapped out the hot ceramic humbucker for a Kent Armstrong HB size P-90. Only other thing left to address is the tuners which I will replace with Wilkinsons. Pickup sounds killer!
