How did all of you meet Mark - our fearless leader?

I was going through a stack of PS3 games that I had never opened, one of them was Rocksmith. I figured I should at least play it before I trade it in. I went for my fake plastic Guitar Hero guitar. I then realized I needed a real guitar to play the game. I hadn't owned a real guitar since high school. I figured fuck it, I never learned to play guitar in high school so why start now. I thought about it for weeks. I became obsessed with the idea of learning to play. I went to a Dinosaur Jr concert and just watched J Mascis play guitar and was mesmerized.
I was at Target the next day buying a birthday gift for a coworker and saw one of the those beginner guitar packs for $99. I wasn't really buying a gift for someone else, I was buying Hot Wheels. I started playing Rocksmith everyday. A customer told me to take a lesson before I picked up bad habits. So I bought a couple books on Amazon. I bought guitar for dummies and Foundations for Guitar by Mark Wein.
I don't know why, maybe it was the textbook look of Mark's book, but I started to read it. I happened to notice the address in the book was 211 W Katella Ave. Orange CA 92867. That's about a quarter mile from my house. So I went in and met Mark. A few weeks later I was at NAMM Jam and met @Modern Saint, @jaxn slim and @telecaster911. This was when Telecaster brought the McFeely 440 and I was there to hear Mark play it for the first time.
With Modern Saints pushing I ended up joining the forum.
In a little over a week I'll be at NAMM Jam again and I'll be getting my McFeely.

What a crazy year. I have made some pretty good friends both on and off this forum and I hope to meet more of you a Pragestock

I became familiar with Mark, his unreal guitar chops, and his video lessons via HCGJ. But I've hung out with him a handful of times during my many trips to Orange County over the years and once at Pragestock.

I was on HCEG and someone was bitching about this guy who kept spamming threads about his site so I decided to check the guy out. Then I moved into the neighborhood. Haven't gone back since.
