I guess OGG and Micwalt aren't the only ones who get to play the fair this summer. :o

Your stage is better than mine, Mark. I will be playing Hangar 13 at the OC Fair on Sunday, July 13, 2014

The hangar stage is huge though, isn't it?

Never played it before so I am uncertain how large the stage is. Would love to know if a backline is provided as well.

My buddy asked me a few months back if I wanted to sit in, I said sure!!!

Would love to find the details on this for future event booking. I know of other who play there consistently but this will be my first.

They have an online application process now...just go to the website. The stage I'm playing on has no backline (which is fine with me).

Cool on the app!

Probably the same on the backline at Hangar 13. Maybe a good day to bring out the half-stack and use the Quilter tone block for the head.... Maybe need an empty Marshall head cab now for the Quilter. Half-Stack's look good on large stages.

Really? No backline?

Ours has a full backline, mics, monitors, lights and a soundguy.
That's crazy.

I can't imagine lugging all of that shit into the Fair, setting it up, tearing it down, and lugging it back.

That sucks.

Oh I am sure the PA is a given. Unsure of the backline though. It would be foolish not to provide a backline as it improves setup and teardown time. Granted as well that players will be bringing amps at there discretion. I just want a cab provided and I would just bring a head. Besides having the cabs all setup makes for easy micing as well.

That's the difference of the coasts vs the midwest.

I think I've done maybe 5 gigs where the stage was fully equipped and the sound guy was ready and waiting. Even large outside venues... I'm usually the one bringing the truck load of shit. :annoyed:

I am bringing 2 guitars, my HD500 and my JC55.

That's all.

Congrats!

I take it the fair is a pretty big thing?

Oh yeah!!!

Big stage, lots of people, great way to promote a band to many new potential fans.

Oh yeah....boobs!

I have done festivals with the backline provided and concerts in the part where you bring you own rig. Fortunately all of the outside venues have always provided a PA.
