I guess OGG and Micwalt aren't the only ones who get to play the fair this summer. :o

:ex:

I got you guys beat when it comes to altitude.
Playing a new festival here in about a month that will take place up in the mountains (2 separate bands), should be fun. :)

You'll need twice as much amplification.... with the air that thin, the sound won't want to travel. :helper:

I'll have to trust whoever's supplying the backline. I'm not even bringing an amp. :embarrassed:
2 guitars and a pedalboard. I like to live dangerously.

That said, I'll be stunned if the backline isn't 2 Marshall half stacks. Sooooo obvious.

You'll need this just to be heard above the drums...

Don't think in 21 years of gigging I've ever had a backline supplied only ever PA at some really big venues. My band's now got a consistent stage setup which works for us pretty much everywhere. I have a 1x12" combo each side of the stage both sat on one of the bassist's 4x10" cabs as can be seen in the pic below. Doing this spreads the sound really well but allows us to turn down and keep the volume reasonable. If we play any big stages outside, the bassist can go to two stacks by adding a 1X15" to each 4x10" and the drummer has two Marshall 4x12" angled cabs I can borrow to go under the combos.
