Last week was warm here. This week it’s been raining.

My smart speaker warned of a winter storm today. Up here on the continental divide, we’re getting snow dumped on us.

We haven’t had a May snow storm yet. But it’s always possible that we won’t get another snow until June. The last time that happened we had heavy wet snow piled on trees with all their leaves and it took the city three months to get rid of all the branches.

Meanwhile, we've broken record highs several days in a row.

We’ve had some warm days and some days when I’m wearing a faux-fur lined hoodie to walk the dogs. On the upside, we’ve had some good rain storms so that might keep wildfires at bay.

It's been relatively warm for the past few days, highs close to 70 F. Today is cooler, high of 50 F.

Tuesday I had a JV girls game at 5pm and a varsity game at 7. The temp at kickoff was 46 degrees with heavy rain at times and sustained winds of 12mph and gusts up to 25. My shorts and long sleeved jersey seemed less than sufficient and I've had more fun...
