You really should be concentrating your good fortune on lottery tickets and not guitar pedals
I try.
Odds are better on guitar gear, apparently.
This one was a instant prize format.
They put up a bunch of gear, 12 guitars, bunch of pedals, store credit, etc.
They pre-draw the winning numbers.
When you buy your ticket for 99 pence, if your randomly assigned ticket matches one of the pre-drawn numbers, you get that prize.
I would throw a couple of bucks at it once in a while. When they do the free draws for store credit, there’s a “boost” in the store credit if you also buy an entry in another draw.
They do 3 or 4 free draws a week. I think this one cost me about 25 pounds. So, 50 bucks-ish Canadian.
All proceeds go to building a guitar museum. I spend less per week than some spend on Starbucks. So, I have some fun while supporting something and I am still able to pay the bills.
That’s my rationale and I’m sticking to it.
