On a serious note for fellow Cat owners.....
.... I developed a cat-pill move that has worked well with my 20 pound cats that are deceptively strong and evasive.
I approach them like I'm going to pet them or pick them up and kneel down with them between my knees. You then close your feet so they can't "back out" of the situation.... with my left hand I cover their eyes, sweep their whiskers back with my index and thumb while gently lifting their cheeks in front of their teeth. With their eyes covered and their mouth pursed open, their natural instinct is to look straight up and open their mouth.
You now have a clear shot at dropping the pill straight down their gullet. Your success rate of them not spitting out the pill generally relies on how long you can keep them cradled between your knees before they rocket loose. I have about a 90% success rate.

His issue is a sense of scale... his hands aren't big enough to cover the eyes and pull the whiskers back with one hand.
