When I was 16 (1998 )I was a victim of some manufacturing/design flaws carried out by a well known Canadian bike company that was sold at a large very well known Canadian retailer. I am legally not allowed to mention the companies involved as part of our settlement agreement.
I was okay other than nearly 200 stiches to keep this mug looking sexy! Always wear a helmet kids!

Anyway I had took my settlement money, headed right to the guitar store and picked out a lovely black Gibson Les Paul Studio.
I grew tired of the LP after a few years and traded it straight up to a friend for his Fender acoustic. I was hung up on my Tele at the time and I loved his acoustic but price wise they aren't even in the same ball park. I regretted the trade a few months later.
To add insult to injury a little while ago I picked up a Gibson LP Vixen to fill my LP needs but sold that to get my dog and then had to give my dog away. So it was like I just gave my Gibson away for free:(

So about 10 years has passed since the Studio left my life and I get a message yesterday stating that my friend misses his old acoustic. He recently acquired a Gretsch White Falcon and he no longer uses the LP! I am hoping tomorrow is the day. Just waiting on a time to go get it.

This leaves me without an acoustic but I GET MY LES PAUL BACK!!! Yipee!!

Here is a vid from youtube that I found of a similar one. Except I have the kidney bean Grovers.

Hopefully I will have some actual pics and clips by the end of the weekend!!

Thanks ya'll!
Hoping tomorrow is the day! This wait is killing me, as per usual.

That sounds 'super'

am I close?

You are close. They sold along side that brand

Pics of scar?

Congrats!

Technically I have two. The big one is on my head. I will snap one when I shave it. My hair is covering most of it at the moment.
It starts right above my right eyebrow, goes up and arcs back down towards my ear. What saved me was the rim, which is why it lacerated the way it did. During all that my face dug into the axle and tore a big hole in my right cheek. This is where scar #2 is.
I don't remember a whole lot from the first 24 hours of the ordeal, just small glimpses of things. I don't remember any pain either, drugs today are remarkable.
I have a gnarly pic of myself when I was in the hospital. I will have to dig it out and scan it.
I also have a real geeky pic of me posing with the guitar all dressed up for some sort of shindig. I will toss that in as well, if I can find them.

So how many stitches will the LP need to keep it's head from falling off? :embarrassed:

Here is the acoustic that will be leaving soon.
