My favorite player gets an interesting signature guitar

Josh's Ibby is supposed to list around $2,500, for those that care...
I watched a little of Josh's livestream about this guitar and people we making him defend the price. I'm not sure why people don't think that a well-made guitar from Japan is any less worth that amount of money than one made here. And it seems like there is a lot of very specific decisions made with this instrument which makes the actual construction a little more expensive than a Buddy Guy strat or something like that.

Yeah, MIJ guitars have been as good as U.S.A. made guitars since at least the '90s. Now they cost more, but NOT more than equal products from U.S.A. products. The price gap has closed, as it should. I'm not really in the market for any guitars right now, but I'd buy a MIJ guitar just a quickly as a MIA. The top of line stuff from Ibanez, Yamaha, ESP, and others is as good/better than most MIA manufacturers.
