So far, pleasantly surprised at how awesome it does sound. I did a quick adjustment and changed the strings to 10s. I'm really digging that master volume. Great action, chimes nicely...very playable and growls like a tiger.

I believe it is a Gretsch Electromatic Pro Jet G5435.

They say Fairlane blue, but it sure looks a lot like Lake Placid to me. Maybe it's a Fairlane that drove into Lake Placid?

The best news is that intonation is set and the action is sweet and low. For now, I'm leaving the pickups and electronics. They may not be TV Jones, but they sound pretty darn good. Time will tell.

I really like the blue with pearloid, and I usually don't like blue. Sweet score.

Fwiw, those blacktop pickups are generally regarded as really great stuff.
