Then you have the pop single hit machine stones or the Brian Jones Resplendent version of the band that is amazing.

And lastly there’s the Stones Since the 80s which was marked by the Jagger/Richards Cold War. Voodoo Lounge is the best album of this latter period and is a good-to-great LP.

I've tried several times, and even done loads of covers of their songs in various bands I've been in, and seen them live.
But I just can't ever be a proper fan of the Stones. Seen them live and they're the loosest most amateurish big rock band I've ever seen, which I really struggle understanding.
The last show I saw them the best song they did was an Aretha Franklin cover with Lisa Fisher singing. And Keef couldn't even get the intro to Brown Sugar right.
Then again I can't stand punk either, so there's probably something related to that. I just don't like sloppy when it comes to music I guess. :embarrassed:
