NGD....it's been over 4 years....

I had a chance to really sit down and play this today. This really is a new guitar though it is two years old. It smells new. It is really tight (ie. the top has not loosened up yet). It plays great and sounds even better. Once this has some serious playing time and the top starts to break in this is going to be a monster guitar. Impeccable workmanship, excellent tone. This was a great deal.

I dunno what you got against that rosewood, looks like the real deal to me

I'm generally not liking the added bass in rosewood - but this guitar was too much of a deal to pass up. And it ends up that the spruce/rosewood combo ends up having a 'scooped mid' frequency right around where most people sing - hence it's popularity with singer songwriters.

I love this guitar. I've already written two new songs on it in the past two weeks. I have become a Eastman fan.

Oh, "rosewood BS" really does mean 'bullshit'?
I thought you meant 'back and sides'.

No - it is back and sides.

I have just not been a fan of rosewood acoustics. Generally I gravitate towards walnut or mahogany, with a strong preference towards walnut. This guitar just changed my mind.

Rosewood and Spruce is my favorite combo. Not just the looks but as you mentioned it's where I sing and sounds balanced to me. Mahogany always comes across too dark. I like Walnut but prefer Rosewood.
Gorgeous guitar.
