Too Controversial To Have An Athleisure Line
New Modeler Day!!!
I just got one of these:

I miss using my old BOSS GT-8, and I'm tired of endlessly tweaking to try to find the right tone/feel on the POD Go/HX Stomp. I'm going to mess with this for a while and see if I can easily find my sound. If so, I may move to the full-on GT-1000, or I may do some wacky thing with the POD Go going 4-cable into the IR-200. It's all about options.

I wish I had the patience for those. I bet that thing will sound awesome once you get it all set up.

I only had about ten minutes to mess with it this afternoon, but I quickly dialed in an absolutely massive tone with the Tweed Combo model and a Celestion 4x12 IR.

I've spent some time with it, and I really dig it! It feels more like what I'm used to--maybe that's because I've spent so many years with a BOSS modeler. But I think it sounds more vibrant too somehow. I'm gonna try doing the POD Go four cable into the IR-200 and see if I can make that into a workable rig. It should work. I can use the verb on the BOSS, which sounds really nice and will free up a block on the PG. Then maybe use a preamp on the PG in place of a traditional OD or Dist block for solos. Then I can put the PG's other effects blocks wherever I want them in the chain.

I'd be curious to hear you see how close you can make these sound like each other. I'm starting to feel like most of the devices can sound great, but its just how much time you want to spend getting them there.

I'll do a shootout at some point. There's a lot less tweaking on the BOSS. You've got level, gain, bass, mid, treble, and pick an IR. That's it.
