One thing I love about living.in a small town

When I lived in Baltimore, I thought Frederick was a small town. Now that I live in central Massachusetts, I know what small towns are. That stadium is probably bigger than some of our towns.

Nashille may have the NFL Titans, but baseball is minor league and it's the Nashville Sound. They recently got a new stadium, but I'm farther away from Nashville now, so I haven't been at all in a couple of seasons. I might take a look and see how many home dates they have left.

The best thing about small towns is not having to think about your commute, public transit schedules, finding somewhere to park, etc.

On the other hand, that's because there really isn't anywhere worth going.

We have a brand new team and a stadium to go with it .
Admittedly I've never been a fan of baseball, but that may change.

I was just telling someone my favorite baseball experience is Cheney Stadium watching the triple A Rainiers. (Farm team for Seattle). They get some good players too. Did not get to catch a game this year on our trip as we went to the Seattle Sounders instead, but it is always a treat when we do. Here is a pic from last year.

Errors, bad umpiring, and the folly of youth?
I haven't noticed the umping being that bad, but yeah, the error count is definitely higher. That's OK though, it still makes for a fun night out.

With Frederick being the home of the Flying Dog brewery, there are multiple flavors on tap every night that make taking the errors much easier.

BTW, the home team lost 2-1. They still put on a good fireworks show after the game.

This is your home town
This is yoooouuur hooooome toooown

Sorry, thread title keeps making me want to start croonin' like the Boss.

I live 30 minutes from two minor league teams. The Asheville Tourists, farm team for the Colorado Rockies and The Hickory Crawdads, farm team for the Pittsburgh Pirates. I like the interesting names these minor league teams have sometimes.
