out and about while unemployed

So just for fun, I got up early today and went with my mother to an amish bakery in Oskaloosa, KS, about 30 miles from my home in Topeka. I brought my camera with me, just to snap some pics along the way.

I'm no professional, but I think I got some cool shots with my little Canon Powershot...opinions?

the helicopter was locked, but a window was broken...so i stuck the camera thru the hole and took this one...

me too...that tank is sitting in front of an american legion post, hence, the sign

somewhere, I have a pic of a very young Peeker (maybe 3 yrs) sittingon a tank.
at the time, I thought of it as MY tank.

That first shot looks like a railroad freight house. See any abandoned tracks or roadbed around there?

Interesting shots. I also think that first one looks like an old railroad freight house (seems like there's railfans afoot in this forum!).

The tank with the coors sign is great! "when you're not blowing your enemies to kingdom come, come in and have a cold one!"

The guys on the boat with the sun on the water and the chopper shots are cool too.
