RIP Jeremy

Hey Guys, my name is Jason... Most call me Jay. I'm new to The Forum thing. This was always more of my guitarist, Jeremy's thing... I just wanted to come by and say thank you for your help with Jeremy's fundraiser and all of the kind words you guys have sent us via Facebook over the last couple of days.

Jeremy's wife and kids are pretty special people. We always half joked that Jeremy and Leslie were the only proof in existence that marriage and the band life could coexist.

So with that I'd like to encourage you all to participate in The Run Around Cover fundraiser. Not only will that help Leslie, Nate and Vi but it'll give us something as a band to look forward to sitting down together and listening to your individual takes on our songs.

Thank you all for all your kind words on here and on our page posts. We have been in constant communication with Leslie and I know your words have meant a lot to her as well. If any of you have any questions or would like to know anything about Jeremy/his family/TRA go right ahead and ask.

Jay
The Run Around

Hey, thought this might bring a much needed smile for you.http://markweinguitarlessons.com/fo...icago-area-shows-4-12-4-20.46490/#post-751206

I just got back from my trip last night and saw this. This is just awful. He brought a great energy to this place and I really enjoyed the band's music. This thread is clear evidence that he will absolutely be missed.

To anyone coming from Chicago or west of The Indiana state line. Remember the listed time is East Coast.

Hopefully meet some of you tomorrow.
I am unable to be there, and don't have any profound words to add that others here are present won't have covered. But I will be there in my thoughts and prayers and sending love that way.

I just made a donation and it pushed it over the $2000 mark. I love the fact that our "virtual" community can stretch over into the "real world" and help out Leslie and the kids.

I'll post my TC Hall of Fame reverb pedal in the Buy/Sell forum with proceeds going over as well.

I hate that I am between semesters and thus between pay periods. On the other hand, I know from experience that the money will also be handy in a few weeks as well.

I have negative funds in my account right now... I figured one of the few ways I could help, though, is get the word out. I follow Natalie Slater, aka Bake and Destroy, on Twitter. She's one of CM Punk's closest friends and they both live in Chicago. She also seems to also be a giant sweetheart that responds to nobodies like myself. I asked her to retweet my tweet with a link to TRA's memorial gig at House of Blues and she did. Hopefully some of the 19K+ followers she has will go.

Thats worth way more than money.

Kerouac and I went to the viewing and the service. Jeremy's step dad had really gracious things to say about all of us and is stunned at the outpouring of gratitude from our forum and facebook.

Jason, Fabian, Garret and Jay from the Run Around were very cool and you can really tell they didn't just lose a bandmate, they lost a brother.

The funeral home was overflowing with people by the time of the service.... they moved tables and set up more chairs in the lobby but people still spilled around the corner and down the hall.

I'm glad some of us were able to represent. Thanks guys, and I know I would have if I could have.

This is terrible news. So sorry to hear it. He always seemed to be a real down to earth good person. My heart goes out to his loved ones.

I'm glad you guys were able to go, and I hope you both gave Leslie a big hug for all of us that couldn't be there.
