RIP Jeremy

This is terrible news. My thoughts are with his family & friends that had a father, partner and friend taken from them so young. Rest in peace, Jeremy. You will be missed by all of us.

I feel like someone just punched me in the gut.

I just met up with him out in Chicago. I'm sure you remember the posts......we had a good time.

He really was a good guy.

I am floored.

He was only 33 or something.....younger than me by about 10 years. I played his Reverend silver sparkle guitar, we drank some beers, smoked some weed....went out and saw a couple of bands.

We got along great even having met only once. Hit it off immediately.

Man.....this blows.

I JUST SAW HIM LAST MONTH!!!!

WTF?

I know he and Peeker did some work together covering a couple of really bad 80's tunes.
:)

He played them for me. I laughed.

He leaves behind a wife (very nice lady, btw...) and 2 little kids.

Holy fuck. This is terrible.

I wasn't planning on drinking tonight, but I am going to proceed to get piss drunk in Jeremy's honor.

I had an exceptionally bad day yesterday, and was really down in the dumps.

Now this news puts my trivial problems in perspective.

I am stunned and saddened as though we were far more than internet friends. The quality of his person transcended beyond just being a faceless stranger, connected only by technology.

I feel awful for his family. I will be glad to help in any way that I can.

Now, time to break the seal and get busy. Here's to you Jeremy, God's speed.

That's the nature of this forum really. We're more than just mere acquaintances.
I've never posted in a forum like this where people genuinely cared for each other to this degree.

I picked a really bad week to fucking quit drinking.
Fuck me.
He really was as nice a guy as you could ever meet.

Jeremy reached out to me and others to lend our support for a friend of his (Lindsey) who has been struggling with end stage kidney failure for eons. He just struck me as a kind and compassionate man. It just isn't fair.

That's very tragic news. I logged in just now to send Jeremy an invite to a show next week, and I started to read some threads.

I met him at The Run Around's House of Blues show last year. He was very nice and welcoming to me (essentially a complete stranger who he "knew" through this forum). I'm sure he'll be missed by his family and friends.
