So, this weekend

So at 4:30 they tell me I am here another night. Seems to be some problem with pumping, though it is unclear why I needed to stay another night Anyway, the prognosis is good, at least.
Did they tell you what your ejection fraction was, and how it would compare to your age group? Could this have been an old injury that took it's time to show up?

I don't see how you could have a small blockage and have a compromise of your cardiac muscle that was so large that it may effect your ability to pump. The only answer I can come up with is you had a very healthy heart. Healthy hearts and young hearts do not form peripheral circulation as much as an unhealthy heart will. That is why a small heart attack may kill a young man, or a very healthy man, and a dude who drank and smoked all his life may survive a Widow Maker.

Find out all you can and ask lots of questions. I know it may be difficult but that information can help you form a plan for improving your heart health and also how to avoid a problem further down the road.

Good luck, and a big helping of MOJO!
