So we came home with a Honda

Wife's Durango has been giving us problems since we bought it. Yesterday it came down with another cold, so today the wife decided to talk to one of our friends at a local dealership rather than take the Durango to the shop again.

Anywhoo, 3 hours later, we have a 2009 Honda CR-V rather than an '06 Durango. The Durango was a super nice vehicle, aside from the apparent lemonness, but I think the CR-V will be a good fit as well. :)

I will only buy Honda now. I just sold my 95 Civic that I've had for 12 years. It had 250k miles and still ran great, just no a/c. The a/c compressor was not something I could fix myself and it was gonna cost a lot to have done so I just sold the car. It sold in 2 days even with no working a/c and needing a timing belt changed, and I still got very close to my asking price. Honda's also hold their value very well.. I bought an 03' Accord to replace the 95 civic btw.

We had a 2003 CRV the we traded in for a Honda Pilot. My Wife loves the Pilot. She's been rear-ended twice with barely a scratch to the Pilot. Makes me feel much better when she's driving with my daughter in the car. I'd buy another Honda in a second.

In '08 we were waffling between an Accord and a CR-V. We added the Element to the list and ended up with one that has been great for us, but it is only a four seater...we should have gotten the CR-V to accommodate up to seven. Live and learn.

You got a great vehicle though. Honda's just keep on going if you take care of them...and not kid gloves, just keep up with the maintenance and you should get a ton of use out of it.

Nice... my girlfriend's lease is just about up and she's going to look at CRV's and Pilots, she'll probably end up getting the Pilot.
