Speachless.....

No I didn't see that. Lemme guess...street racing?

One of the posts mentioned something like they weren't surprised to see it was him & that he was banned. Didn't read the full thread to see if more was mentioned. There's a bunch of guys on that forum from this area.

I didn't see exactly why either but it was probably for liability reasons and the club didn't want any further association with him. One idiot was banned off the git-go for suggesting the 37 yr old driver dude was probably using "sh*t brakes"

I've never crossed the triple digit line unless on a very empty, secluded country road. I've seen 150+ only on motorcycles where that empty 2 lane road looks like it is just a few inches wide at that speed.

To run any vehicle in traffic at more than 30 over the posted speed pushes the infraction to a much higher level in my state, not to mention being absolutely stoooped and selfish.

Here's the stretch of road where this all happened....this was 3:30 pm today.

The CRV came to rest up by the second sign on the right. Note the Subaru pulling back out on to the road after deciding not to get off at this exit

Imagine doing 150 on this?

Interestingly there is a correlation between this and guitar playing. I have several times joined the local BMW car club to first go to their performance driving school and then to participate in a couple of their track days. I did the performance driving school in the bmw I owned at the time and the track days in a 5 door hatchback I own. If you have the urge to drive fast you need to learn how and do it responsibly. How this is related to guitar playing is that just like a great guitarist can get the most out of a cheap guitar setup, a good driver can get a lot out of an inexpensive car. In both cases the relationship doesn't work the other way around.

Asshats are everywhere.

I've had my share of fast cars over the years. Never have I been tempted to street race in any of them. It's simply unconscionable. If you can't afford, or can't be bothered to take your go fast machine to a proper track, and instead make the public roadways your personal drag strip or Nurburgring, you should lose your license to operate anything more powerful than a skateboard.

Funny thing is, this is why I rarely take the GT-R out of the garage and instead do most of my errand running in the family truckster. It seems every time I take that car out, some fucktard in a mustang tries to bate me into accepting some sort of challenge.

Asshats.

Hell, when I drive my Mustang even I get asshats wanting to race!

I must admit, I've done it few times. A lot when I was younger, now, maybe a little burnout or just bang through the gears, then let off.

To be 37 (way old enough to know better) and doing 147 on a highway with other cars is beyond insane.
