I'm just gonna post this here because it doesn't really merit its own thread yet, but i re-recorded that one riff i had in Ardour with a proper microphone and recording software (i.e. not audacity) and it sounds killer!

not bad kell...but you may want to play with the EQ some...a little less low/mid and a touch more high and it'll be alot more defined...
 
Using this USB mic has made me want a proper setup even more. all i want is a two-mic setup so i can do vocals and guitar at the same time. It makes life so much easier when you can do that.
 
I'm going to move from the reprobates table in the dark corner to the homecoming holiday spread.
Here's some Canadian perspective on American Thanksgivings.

The last few years have been the first time that all American air and bus travel at Thanksgiving exceeded Christmas.
Food sales for Thanksgiving have rocketed past what is spent on food at Christmas.

So Thanksgiving has emerged as a food holiday, and Christmas is more about gifts.
Also for the first time, American women who say marriage is about being upwardly mobile,
as opposed to marrying for love, are leading the polls.

There is still everything to be thankful for. I hope this holiday lives up to everyone's expectations.

Thanksgiving is an American holiday. virtually all Americans celebrate it regardless of background. Christmas is a Christian holiday. a declining number of Americans celebrate Christmas.
 
Maybe I just should have typed that Christmas is still Christmas,
but Thanksgiving has passed it as a travel and food holiday.
This year might be the year that Jimi Hendrix clones, tributes and retail products, surpass Elvis sales.
